What kind of carbon black are you looking for?
The dispersion of carbon black mainly includes three aspects: wetting, separation, and stability.
Wetting: Replace the surface of carbon black or the air in its aggregate with base material to facilitate the next separation process. The difficulty of wetting depends on the surface tension of the base material and carbon black.
Separation is the main process of dispersion. This refers to the shearing force applied to the carbon black mixed in the base material by mechanical equipment, thereby shearing and separating the carbon black into finer particles. The choice of separation equipment, separation process conditions, and base materials all have a great influence on the shear force.
Stability: Carbon black has a very small primary sample and a very large surface area. After separation, it produces a very large surface energy and has a strong tendency to re-flocculate (back to coarse).
The degree of carbon black dispersion directly determines the performance of carbon black pigments. The difference in carbon black dispersion particle size has a great influence on the use effect of carbon black products.
There are many types of rubber carbon black. What are the characteristics of the carbon black used in rubber?
N220 is suitable for all kinds of rubber, and its abrasion resistance is 10%-20% higher than that of N330. It can endow rubber particles with high tensile strength and tear resistance, as well as certain conductivity. Mainly used for tread rubber of truck tires, passenger tires, and rubber products that require high strength and high wear resistance. ,
N550 is suitable for natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers. It is easy to disperse and can give the rubber a higher stiffness, fast extrusion speed, small mouth expansion, and smooth extrusion surface. The high temperature performance and thermal conductivity of the vulcanizate are good, and the reinforcing performance, elasticity and resilience are also better. Mainly used in tire cord rubber, sidewalls, inner tubes, and extrusion and calendering products.
N660 This product is suitable for all kinds of rubber. Compared with semi-reinforced carbon black, it has a higher structure, finer particles, and is easy to disperse in rubber. The tensile strength, tear strength and tensile stress of vulcanized rubber It is relatively high, with small deformation, low heat generation, good elasticity and resistance to buckling. Mainly used for tire and wheel curtain tapes, inner tubes, bicycles, hoses, tapes, cables, shoes, calendered products, model products, etc.
N774 is suitable for all kinds of rubber. This product is the carbon black with the largest particle size (the product size is 80-170nm) and the lowest structure except for thermal black. It is mostly used for the buffer layer and ply of tire carcass. Rubber materials, hoses, extruded products, various industrial rubber products, wires, cables, etc. This product can be filled in large quantities in the rubber material. Its vulcanized rubber has high elongation, low heat generation, high elasticity and good aging resistance.
